it is for scrubbing and cleaning hard surfaces like tile and other floors, but it will not provide as much suction in return and recovery of the water expelled by it or to be used for the sole purpose of water recovery.
It is necessary to have another wand like a squeegee to fully absorb and recover the water.
Also if your vacuum is not very powerful it will not recover much water either.
