Qing Dynasty chinese carved smoke rock crystal water buffalo & calf fitted stand

Description

Ching Dynasty chinese carved rock crystal water buffalo with calf fitted wood stand. Shipped with USPS First Class. the carving is 4” in length includes hand-carved fitted wood base.
A copy of the letter of appraisal from Gump’s San Francisco dated March 30, 1983 stating an appraised insurance value of ,500 is included.
The letter also states the item is circa 1862 - 1875, T’ung Chih Period, Ching Dynasty.
A minor chip can be found on the underside of the hand carved wooden stand - see photo. This does not affect the integrity nor appearance of the item.
